Winning awards is what used to drive me.
In my time in London, I picked up a few, and the production company I co-founded scooped the whole set: D&AD, Cannes, EPICA, British Arrows, Roses, and PROMAX.
But the chunk of base metal that gave me the biggest thrill was an IPA effectiveness award.
You only get those if the work delivers everything and more it set out to do.
As we know, technology can now target people with cross hair accuracy.
What it can’t do is move them.
I don’t wish to sound cocky, but so much of my work has done just that.
And that’s how I get my kicks these days.
