ABOUT ME
DOING IT DIFFERENTLY
According to the eminent market data-tracking company Kantar, we are exposed to up to 10,000 ads every day.
Around 100 are noticed; fewer are acted on, which is why I do my best to do it differently.
A film, written by me, made by Aardman, for a sight loss charity that doesn’t show predictable, harrowing images; it features a cheerful little character, cheerful until he, too, succumbs to sight loss.
A film about garden power tools, to persuade dealers to place bigger orders. Pie charts, spreadsheets or marketing bullshit? Nope, a tribute to Guy Ritchie’s classic Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
A commercial for kitchens- no dreamy shots, syrupy voiceover, slushy music, and smug couples, but inspired by Hitchcock’s seminal movie Psycho, and ending with the line 'Killer Kitchens'.
And there have been many more for some great work I can’t show because of NDAs.
All the above really worked.
Because different gets noticed.
